CAB and financial management

The Neath and Swansea Citizens Advice Bureaux, noting the rise in the number of clients bringing in troubles caused by debt, have arranged sessions to help the public at large.

A Financial Capability Session is designed to encourage financial planning and budgeting, especially in times of financial hardship or when people experience a change in household income. The aim is to avoid the pitfalls of getting into debt. At a Financial Capability Session a person can learn how best to manage money, cope with those everyday bills and be advised on choosing credit. Further sessions can be organised and these can be tailored to whatever individuals require.

To help promote the sessions, Neath CAB  is holding an event on Friday 24th September in a mobile exhibition facility in Neath Town Centre, by the NEXT store, from 10:00 to 16:00. This will enable people to understand what Financial Capability Sessions have to offer, and enable them to enroll on one.

Entry to both the introductory event and to the sessions themselves, which are funded by the Swansea Bay Partnership Deprived Areas Fund, is free.
