At the meeting of Coedffranc Town Council last Wednesday,
- we resolved to tighten up controls so that there was less scope for staff or contractors to receive payment for work not done. This should not be taken as a judgment on anyone currently employed;
- accepted with regret the resignation of Cllr Betsan Richards as deputy mayor;
- looked at the responsibilities of the mayor and deputy;
- filled the two casual vacancies with co-options, details of successful applicants to follow;
- made a donation to Dragon’s Heart, a dance theatre company for mentally disabled young adults, part based in Coedffranc;
- approved the use of at least one community centre for free maths. lessons;
- decided to memorialise the late Queen Elizabeth in the name of a new garden for cremated remains;
- agreed to a site meeting with the county borough over the siting of tree planting agreed in connection with Network Rail’s offset.
