It was with regret that I learned earlier today from our group leader, Cllr Keith Davies, that John Warman, member for Cimla, has left the Liberal Democrats after many years to return to the Labour Party. Trying to be objective about this, I can say that John’s move will at least improve the calibre of the ruling group on the council and introduce a concern for individual rights and liberties to a party which has not been overly concerned with either over the last fourteen years.

Cimla will still have a Liberal Democrat representative in Cllr Des Sparkes, deputy leader of the Liberal Democrat group.
