After the drastic cut-backs of last year, green shoots are beginning to appear. I refer of course to the replanting in Craig Gwladus. From a distance, the areas cleared of Corsican pine still look like a battlefield, but, up close, the many fragile saplings are showing leaf-buds.

The woods evidence the care and attention bestowed on them by the Friends of Craig Gwladus and the western entrance similarly benefits from Mr Leslie Hale’s devotion.
