NPT Homes made a presentation to council members in Seven Sisters community hall today, part of its six-monthly round of liaison meetings. They concentrated this time on the outcome of Stage 1 of raising the housing stock to Welsh Housing Quality Standard. A survey had shown that those tenants whose properties had been refurbished were satisfied or very satisfied with the work. There was an appraisal of the jobs & apprenticeships created by the three major contractors, with prospects of more to come. In answer to a question from the local member, Steve Hunt, NPT Homes confirmed that the main contractors gave priority to local businesses when sub-contracting or sourcing supplies.

The meeting concluded with an outline of the programme of garden maintenance.

The NPT tick boxers are round your home before the final brush of cheap agency labour paint hit’s the ‘now’ bumpy walls. How many people just on completion of works have been faced with two or sometimes three NPT robotic tick boxers rushing to your door asking ‘are you happy with the works?’ Why would anyone ask this when they have witnessed for weeks ‘acts of grievous bodily harm with intent being committed on your family home by gangs of low-skilled, lowly-paid, low moral and badly treated agency workers’. All NPT Homes LTD are doing in most homes is covering over future problems for thousands of its tenants.
